Membership: Travel Authority

Following ratification of the Race Schedule by the RAF Sports Board, authority has been granted for those races agreed at the AGM.

Travel Authority

In order to claim Travel to the 2007 Sports Board approved races, claimants must conform to certain requirements:

1.  You must be a serving member of the RAF.

2.  You must be an RAF Tri member.

3.  You must be representing the RAF, having entered your club as RAF Tri and be seen wearing RAF Tri kit*.

4.  Your station is prepared to foot the bill!

5. When 2 or more members are travelling from the same unit, transport must be shared whenever possible.

6. Subsistence allowance is inadmissible.

7. Training Events are excluded from the above directive unless linked to a fixture, event or championship.

* Not applicable to the Sprint Events.  Also, if you are a new RAF Tri member and have not yet purchased your RAF Tri kit, we'll let you off, but please, where possible, try to borrow suitable attire.  RAF Tri kit is encouraged but is not mandatory for the BAE  SYSTEMS sprint events.

 

 

SPRINT DISTANCE
Swim - 400m to 750m
Bike - 20km to 30km
Run - 5Km

CLASSIC (OLYMPIC)
Swim - 1500m
Bike - 40km
Run - 10km

HALF IRONMAN
Swim - 1.2 miles
Bike - 56 miles
Run - Half Marathon
